Torrevieja-Las Barcas Dog Poisoning
A report of someone putting down poisoned food in the public park opposite Popeye's Bar (MariBlancas) has resulted in the death of dog. This is a particularly callous action and warn others to be alert while exercising their dogs in this area. No matter what anyone thinks of dogs using this park, poisoning is both cruel and unnecessary. Torrevieja has laws pertaining to dog behaviour and if anyone has a problem with dogs the Policia Local or Ayuntamiento can advise on the best action.

Torrevieja-Las Barcas Crime Report
Recently Christine Berryman Lago Jardin, informed me of an incident which happened at Manzana 1. Three young men were interupted during an attempted breakin. One had a clipboard and semed to be the lookout, another said he was looking for a cat. they made off in a white hatchback 3802 GWV. As Lago Jardin is a near neighbour please be on the alert for similar behaviour in our area. Police have been informed.

Torrevieja Las Barcas Meeting 26/4/11
The meeting on 26/4/11 held in Popeye's was attended by coordinators from six urbanizations within the Las Barcas area. A presentation and an explaination of the aims and scope of Neighbourhoodwatch in Spain were discussed. Further to this discussion coordinators agreed to consult others within their urbanizations ans report back to the next meeting.

Report from Torrevieja- La Siesta
La Siesta two men described of eastern European origin were acting suspiciously, one had a mobile phone and the other was hiding behind a wall. A chase was made by several people but both of them disappeared between some houses in the next road. This was at about 17.00hours and they seemed to be on the lookout for somewhere to break into. This seems to be an ongoing theme around La Siesta. Be on the lookout for simlar incidents.

Suspicious person
Recently reported suspicious behaviour of a man who had entered a property, when questioned by the owner he said he was looking for someone but his voice was muffled. He made of in a Blue megane A8853DF.

Torrevieja Police - Security Camera Installation
This installation is seen as a technological tool which can be used by security agencies to apprehend law breakers and maintain public order.
